Oriental Scars - Digital Painting

"Most of us wear them; scars that define bravery, scars that define devotion; marks of spirituality and amulets of protection. We choose to wear them, even though we rather hide them."

Mystical atmospheres, beautiful women, aggressive tones — these are elements that always blend with the personal touch of our fantasy art work. Oriental Scars was eventually inspired by the art of Chinese tattoos, although originally it started to be an Elf or Amazonian woman walking in a forest; but we concluded that it was too much of a cliché and so we had it developed to include more oriental and mature influences.

Artwork purely done digitally on a Cintiq21ux and with reference photography used for the pose, the body and the tattoos.
